About Us - the history of REAL BIKERS WEAR PINK
In June of 2007 when she was 12 years old, Megan (the founder and organizer of RBWP) decided to do something to help end breast cancer.  She had two friends whose mothers had died from breast cancer and wanted to do something to make a difference.  One day, while watching her dad ride off on his motorcycle in a pink shirt, she got the idea for RBWP. She started planning, organizing, contacting sponsors in the community, and getting the word out to riders.  On September 22, 2007, the first annual ride took place!  On the first registration form, Megan wrote:

In the summer of 2007, I decided to organize a motorcycle ride for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  I am a 12 year-old who wants to help put an end to breast cancer any way I can.
Please ride with us September 22, 2007! - Megan

Wish List 2012
RBWP is a real "grass roots" effort. Since 2007, we've been able to raise almost $14,000 for breast cancer research because of generous donations from local individuals and businesses. Now that our 5th annual ride is over, we are looking forward to next year! We decided to put a Wish List on our website to see if there's anyone out there who can help for RBWP 2012. Here's what we need:

1) A T-shirt sponsor - We'd like to have a sponsor for our t-shirts so we can have additional shirts available for our walk-ups. We'd love for everyone to get their shirt the day of the event!

2) Raffle items - we always need prizes for our riders!

If you know someone who might be interested in helping for 2012, please let us know!realbikerswearpink@yahoo.com
